I really loved this article. Encapsulates how I try to live my life and emphasizes the bias to action that is so important.

Things I'm Loving
It’s been a pretty amazing couple of weeks on a personal level. My wife turned 30, I graduated from school, I received an offer in NYC from an amazing company, and I got to see a good friend get married. All in all a relentlessly positive and somewhat selfish few weeks. Now it’s time to reflect a little bit. On to the list:
The in your face success of Facebook. Truly an amazing...

Next time I’m asked why I want to be in VC maybe I’ll just point them to this quote. I like it. A lot.

Response to Obama on Marriage Equality →
I believe in marriage equality. End of story. Now that I’ve cleared up (not than anyone was asking) I wanted to share this awesome interactive chart from the NYTimes. Reading over the negative comments is depressing and yet very illuminating. The positive comments will warm your heart, assuming you agree with the position.
From a design perspective, this chart is amazing. Pleasing to the...

Things I'm Loving
Nothing like a lazy Sunday and a bit of old fashioned procrastination to inspire a blog post. And now for a quick list:
Friends who start to blog (What’s up Bertuca)
The NHL playoffs (Come on Bruins)
Warm evenings outside with friends
@katevitt and her incredible sleeping skills. She’s been hardcore napping for the past 2 hours
Philadelphia - I will really miss this place

Things I'm Loving
Welcome to Friday the 13th. I feel like everyone should celebrate and make superstitious people feel really comfortable on a day like this. Party at the moontower? On to the list:
San Francisco - Begrudgingly I always find myself drawn to this place
NYC - For me it truly is the unknown. Every visit is like a trip into the chocolate box
Paying it forward - I feel so strongly about this. Caveats...

Things I'm Loving
You know what day it is people, although admittedly I’ve been a bit erratic recently, it’s the day in which I share the things that have been making me happy recently. Friends and family coming in at #1 obviously.
Trains and train travel (Amtrak does not get the same love)
Lex Thomas’ Quarantine (Shameless plug for my brother in-law)
Making a huge pan of lasagna (leftovers for...

Things I'm Loving
You know the drill. Things that I’m into right now. Friends and family are numbrero uno. The list:
70 degree days in March (also a thing I still hate)
Lunch bday extravaganza at my favorite restaurant in Philly (Pub and Kitchen). Not my birthday party either.
Parks and Rec (plowed through about 3 hours worth last night with @katecvitt
Underdogs
Peace of mind that things will work out...

Productivity and Mental Clarity →
This article is a great reminder/description of a few simple ways to be more productive and efficient. It’s funny how sometimes I can get into and out of productivity runs without any deliberate action. I’m going to try and be more deliberate about blocking time and taking the requisite breaks.
NYC Steez
It’s been an absolute pleasure to get a first hand view of the startup density/excitement in NYC over the past few days. Best part is that I’m getting just the tip of the iceberg. Looking forward to connecting with @rawsond tomorrow

Things I'm Loving
Trying to get back onto my rhythm of a 1-3 deeper posts per week + the Friday cap of things that I’m loving. So many benefits to blogging (besides stroking my ego) and I get a lot of joy (and just a little bit of anxiety) from posting. Family and Friends are always number 1 and without further ado, the list:
The auto-magical syncing that’s possible these days with computer set up....

Foxes vs Hedgehogs
I’m in a terrific class right now called Negotiations and taught by Cade Massey who’s a fantastic professor. The class focuses on a lot of the fundamentals of negotiations and ultimately looks to make us more ethical, efficient and effective negotiators. I’ve particularly enjoyed our modules on identifying opportunities to trade preferences and grow the total pie size.
Anyway,...

ataussig:
Roughly a third of college students transfer at least once before earning a degree, according to a study cited by the Chronicle of Higher Ed today:

Leave it to Khosla to absolutely nail what I’ve been refining in my head for a while about e-commerce: “For instance, what’s the potential impact on local merchant expertise getting supplanted by mountains of behavior data, curation and social recommendations?”
Hard to quibble with much of this which is both a function of the forces at work (see Health 2.0) and the nicely...
